What is a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)?
The overall purpose of a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is to obtain information to determine why a behavior occurs. The results of an FBA are used to assist in creating interventions for increasing appropriate behaviors & decreasing problem behaviors.
What is included?
A functional behavior assessment includes:

1-hour virtual consultation
-
3 hours of direct observation
-
Written Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)
-
1-hour virtual follow-up meeting to review FBA
-
Optional: additional 1-hour virtual follow-up consultations by request for additional training & support
What is a Curricular Assessment?
A curricular assessment is used to evaluate the current performance level across a variety of skills, as well as identifying strengths & weaknesses. The results of a curricular assessment will guide skill acquisition programming by determining which skills should be taught, and in which order. Our BCBAs are proficient in various curricular assessments, including VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS-R, Vineland-III, and Essential for Living.

Graphed curricular assessment & written summary

1-hour virtual follow-up meeting to review assessment

How does it work?

Schedule a Consult
One of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) will conduct direct observations.

Receive Assessment
Our BCBAs will provide a written assessment based on the direct observation of behaviors.
3
Begin Training & Schedule Follow-ups
Our BCBAs will work with you to teach you the recommended strategies. Optional follow-ups may be scheduled by parent or school request for additional support.
